The Updated Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition is set to make its official debut on 15 August 2026 as part of Mahindra’s Independence Day showcase. The refreshed special edition brings visual and interior updates while retaining the performance-focused electric powertrain of the existing model.
Fresh Lighting Design for a Sharper Look
The biggest styling change comes in the form of redesigned lighting elements. The updated model is expected to bring back larger C-shaped LED daytime running lights at the front, along with matching C-shaped tail lamps at the rear.
The Formula E Edition will continue to feature motorsport-inspired styling, including a Formula E badge on the front fender, unique body graphics, black alloy wheels, and a subtle tricolour detail on the front bumper. The teaser has also revealed the special edition in a striking Tango Red finish.
Sporty Interior With Formula E Details
Inside the cabin, Mahindra is expected to introduce several visual changes while retaining the futuristic character of the BE 6. Metal-finish pedals, special interior trims, and Formula E-inspired user interface modes are among the highlights revealed so far.
The cabin is expected to maintain the premium technology-focused layout of the standard BE 6 while adding exclusive details to distinguish the special edition.

Battery, Power and Driving Performance
The refreshed Formula E Edition is not expected to receive major mechanical changes. It will likely continue with the 79 kWh battery pack and a rear-mounted electric motor.
Power output is expected to remain around 282 bhp to 286 bhp, with peak torque of approximately 380 Nm. The electric SUV could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 6.7 seconds.
The claimed driving range is expected to reach up to 683 km on a full charge, depending on the final specifications and certification.
Updated Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition Price Expectations
The Updated Mahindra Be 6 Formula E Edition To Launch On 15 August Price has not yet been officially announced. Pricing is expected to be revealed alongside the launch, with the special edition likely positioned above equivalent standard BE 6 variants because of its exclusive design and equipment.
The final price could also vary depending on the battery configuration and trim on which the Formula E Edition is based.

Formula E Edition vs Other Special Models
Mahindra is also preparing the BE 6 Sporteq Edition for the same Independence Day showcase. Unlike the Formula E Edition’s motorsport-focused appearance, the Sporteq is expected to emphasize technology with a wide triple-screen dashboard extending toward the front passenger side.
The Formula E Edition, meanwhile, focuses more strongly on exclusive exterior styling and racing-inspired cabin details.
Market Positioning
The updated Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition is positioned as a lifestyle-focused special edition for electric SUV buyers who want distinctive styling and motorsport-inspired details without sacrificing the BE 6’s performance and long-range capability. Its refreshed C-shaped lighting signature and exclusive Formula E elements give it a more recognizable identity within Mahindra’s electric vehicle lineup.
AutoXRoom Verdict
The updated Formula E Edition gives the Mahindra BE 6 a fresh visual identity while retaining the core electric performance that makes the model appealing. The redesigned lighting, exclusive exterior treatment, Formula E-inspired cabin details, and expected 683 km claimed range make it an interesting special edition ahead of its 15 August debut.
